Jun 08, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
The Red Door Yoga Studio - 7282 Aulds Road, Lantzville, BC. V0R 2H0

Ayurveda, born in the Indus Valley, was the first organized medical system in the world.  Developed over 5,000 years ago Ayurveda is as relevant today as it was when it first came to be.

Ayurvedic practitioner and educator, Heidi Sherwood, will discuss the key principals of this incredibly interesting and informative tradition.  In her lecture, she will demonstrate to attendees how Ayurveda's founding concepts truly allow us to understand our individual needs, so we can make the best choices for food, environment, lifestyle, and exercise. This lecture will provide a background on Ayurveda at a beginner level so that there is a strong foundation of the principals for the learner to build on their understanding to make informed life choices.  Doshic and home care self-assessments will be part of this event.

This is one of a set of three "Conversations in Healing" Lectures.  It may be taken on its own, or as part of the "Conversations in Healing" package.  The lecture will begin at 6:30pm and run until 8:30pm.  There is an early-bird deadline for this workshop of May 18th ($21 + HST). After May 18th however, the regular fee of $25 + HST will apply.
